Schedule

This is an exciting and fun weekend, whether it’s your first Hullabaloo, or your fifth. Scouts will be engaging in scoutcraft, outdoor skills, community-building, with plenty of time for play.

Our days are punctuated by traditional camp favorites, like campfire, silly songs, flag ceremonies, and awards. Family members are also welcome and invited to participate in all aspects of Hullabaloo.

Of course, if you or your scout needs to take a break, that’s always welcome. We all respect children and their limits.

Friday

4:00pm-7:00pm

Arrivals and Check-in

  • Plan to eat dinner on the way, in town, or bring an easy packed meal for your family. The Cantinas will start Saturday morning and will not be fully set up by the time everyone arrives Friday night.

Set-up your camp, get acquainted with your tent neighbors, make group spirit items, visit the Quartermaster store, etc.

  • Please set up close to your group, and as snug as you feel comfortable. All non-Rover adults must camp in Family Camp (or in dedicated RV area if applicable). Children are not permitted to be alone with any adults who are not their parent or legal guardian.

Section Activities

  • Adults who can break away from the group may find this to be a good time to start cleaning camp. We ask that everything be broken down except tents, as this is disruptive to the youth activities and will dismantle the feeling of camp. If you need to leave early, please let us know. If your young child needs to make a hasty retreat, please don’t hesitate to tend to that need.

12:30-1:30pm
Camp clean-up

  • We will ask groups to take turns cleaning communal spaces, such as litter sweeps, bathroom sweeps, wood hauling, etc. We will post a rotation schedule once we arrive at BREC.
  • Trash and recycling must be hauled away. We deeply appreciate those who volunteer to take trash back in to town. Thank you in advance.
  • In general, we try to clean at the same time and leave together, so that no family or group is left behind to finish cleaning. Please have your group check out before the last person leaves.

2:00pm (Earlier if we get it all done)
Final Sweep and Goodbye
